About Progressive Wayne County

Progressive Richmond and Wayne County, Indiana is an interactive community that promotes and chronicles the progressive efforts of individuals, organizations and businesses in the area. It was founded in 2006 to serve as a central gathering point for all of the amazing and important parts of Wayne County's progressive entities that don't always know about each other, and that aren't always visible to the rest of the population.

Though the term "progressive" is often used in a political context, Progressive Wayne County is not a political community (though we may feature political news and events). Instead, we seek to bring together people and organizations from any background and hold up efforts that highlight progressive values.

PWC was created by Chris Hardie, a Richmond resident. The site is a collaborative effort between all its users, so please contribute by submitting news and events, starting your own blog, or sending us your ideas for improving this resource.
