Sustainable Redevelopment in the Ohio River Valley Conference

Policy-makers, practitioners, and interested individuals! Come together at the Sustainable Redevelopment in the Ohio River Valley Conference to learn, network, and exchange information on approaches for building more environmentally, socially, and economically vibrant communities through sustainable redevelopment! The benefits, obstacles, and opportunities for implementing Sustainable Redevelopment at cleanup sites in small town, rural and urban settings will be explored over the course of 3 days. Hear nationally-recognized speakers, representing diverse disciplines, present on:

* Improving air and water quality, ecological function, and storm water management;
* Improving Public Health and creating projects that benefit disadvantaged communities;
* Improving Quality of Life; and
* Overcoming Barriers that can impede Sustainable Redevelopment projects.

Apply this information during a hands-on design charrette. Work with professional architects, landscape architects, urban planners, and 4 different regionally-based Universities to design green makeovers for actual sites in the greater Louisville and Southern Indiana area. After the charrette is over - do try this at home!
