One of the Largest Holiday Events in Richmond Wayne County Kicks Off Friday Night in Uptown Richmond.

Main Street Richmond Wayne County announces Uptown Richmond’s 1st annual Ice Fest on December 8th and 9th as a part of their holiday program “Signs of Season” a month long celebration in Uptown Richmond.

On display along Main Street from 5th to 10th Street there will be twenty lighted ice sculptures; some of the most original, celebrated holiday “signs” ever sculpted in ice, guaranteed to become a must-experience holiday tradition for families of East Central Indiana.

National Ice Designer, Stephan Koch, from Indiana Ice Studio will be on hand on Friday night at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. and on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. for a live ice carving demonstration along Main Street in Uptown Richmond.

Indiana University East students will be providing free hot chocolate Friday evening. The event begins Friday, December 8th at 5 p.m. and runs thru Saturday, December 9th at 5 p.m. The event is free and open to the public.
