Film Screening: Donnie Darko

The Richmond Art Museum and the f.a.d.e.-IN film screening series present "Donnie Darko" on Friday, Dec. 29 at 7:00 p.m. Nominated for an Independent Spirit Award and the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance in 2001, Donnie Darko is a film about heroism and sacrifice, as well as the horror of everyday life. After narrowly escaping a bizarre accident, a troubled teenager is plagued by visions of a large bunny rabbit that manipulates him to commit a series of crimes. Donnie Darko stars Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain) and features supporting performances by Drew Barrymore, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jena Malone, and Noah Wylie. Rated R
