Master Gardener Training begins

A Master Gardener Training course will be offered beginning in January 2008. The Master Gardener course trains adults interested in gardening on horticulture topics to further their knowledge and encourage volunteerism upon completion of the course.

Some of the topics covered include soil and plant nutrition, weed management, composting and ornamental management. For complete details and an application for the course, please contact the Wayne County Extension office at (765) 973-9281.

The course includes thirteen weeks of educational training to be held on Tuesday evenings from January 15th through April 8th from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. To complete the certification, participants compete 35 hours of volunteer time over the next year. The class will be offered jointly with Fayette and Union counties at Cambridge City Christian Church.
