The Earlham School of Religion is hosting its annual Spirituality Gathering on Saturday, March 1st on the Richmond campus. Seeking Simplicity: Listening to the Spirit will feature keynote speaker Catherine Whitmire, author of Plain Living: A Quaker Path to Simplicity. Whitmire will share her thoughts on simplicity as “a matter of spiritual intent, or an aim of the heart”, and how a simpler and more meaningful life is awaiting us.
Participants will attend their choice of two other workshops during the event, including topics such as Simplicity as Sufficiency, Finding our Story of Simplicity, and Simplicity in Prayer. This event is open to the public, and the cost of registration is $35 per person if paid before February 20th and $40 per person after February 20th. Breakfast, lunch and light refreshments will be served. The event will be held in the ESR Center on the Earlham School of Religion campus, located at the corner of U.S. 40 West (Old National Road) and College Avenue in Richmond.
