Appliance Collection Day for Wayne and Union County Residents

WAYNE AND UNION COUNTIES SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISTRICT COLLECTION DAY

The Wayne and Union Counties Solid Waste Management District (WUR SWMD) is holding a Collection Day for their county residents on Saturday, June 7, 2008. The collection will take place from 9AM to 1PM at the old NATCO building parking lot on National Road West in Richmond, Indiana.

The only items to be collected at this one-day event are:
Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Refrigerators, Freezers, Air conditioners, Dehumidifiers, & Fluorescent light bulbs (whole and unbroken)

Residents must show proof of Wayne or Union County residency with a current driver’s license when bringing any of the above items for disposal. There is no cost for residents to participate. WUR SWMD wishes to encourage resident participation and prevent the illegal dumping of these items along our county roadsides and waterways.
