Waiting For Guffman (1996, Rated R for strong language; directed by Christopher Guest). Small town Blaine, Missouri puts on a pageant, despite a lack of theatrical ability obvious to everyone but themselves. The f.a.d.e.-IN (Focusing on Art, Diversity, and Education - Indiana) film series showcases a variety of films that fall outside the box of mainstream cinema and may not have been shown in our area. Presented by the Richmond Art Museum and assisted by a generous grant from the Wayne County Indiana Foundation, the series will include independent, foreign, and experimental films, and a scattering of older studio works worth another look. Introduction of films and post-film discussion led by Richmond independent filmmaker Zack Parker will offer a unique experience to film lovers.
