Waiting For Guffman (1996, Rated R for strong language; directed by Christopher Guest). Small town Blaine, Missouri puts on a pageant, despite a lack of theatrical ability obvious to everyone but themselves. By the director of This is Spinal Tap, Waiting for Guffman affectionately spoofs American musicals, community theater, and the culture of celebrity. Starring Christopher Guest, Eugene Levy, Parker Posey, Fred Willard, and Catherine O’Hara.

The f.a.d.e.-IN (Focusing on Art, Diversity, and Education - Indiana) film series showcases a variety of films that fall outside the box of mainstream cinema and may not have been shown in our area. Presented by the Richmond Art Museum and assisted by a generous grant from the Wayne County Indiana Foundation, the series will include independent, foreign, and experimental films, and a scattering of older studio works worth another look. Introduction of films and post-film discussion led by Richmond independent filmmaker Zack Parker will offer a unique experience to film lovers.
