The Richmond Wayne County Environmental Awareness Council and the Cope Environmental Center are bringing Dr. John Vann from Ball State University to the area on January 19 to give a series of presentations focused around the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.” Dr. Vann was trained by Al Gore, climate-change scientists and educators on Al Gore’s farm in Tennessee in September as part of an outreach initiative. The initiative is to get as many people in the nation (and around the world) to learn more about climate change. The presentation will give many facts and statistics about climate change and what may happen if it continues at the current rate. It is not all gloom and doom. The message is that we can do something about it! Come learn about how you can make a difference. Start: 8:30 pm
End: 11:30 pm
Dave and Lindsay, formerly of the Lust Puppies, will be doing an acoustic set at Sacred Grounds. The event is free and open to all. | ||
