A bus from Kansas & Missouri headed to the March on Washington on Saturday will stop in Richmond to change drivers. Richmondites are asked to provide breakfast and/or encouragement to the weary travelers.

ink Floyd can never be re-created. The PFX is a re-interpretation of the concert that changed live performance forever. It is a concert in a theatre setting that echoes everything that made Pink Floyd one of rock & roll’s greatest icons. It is a celebration of the music, the themes and the innovation that this great bank brought to fans around the world. It is Pink Floyd, up close and personal without losing the scope and power of their performance. It is the PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE in a new way! This event is co-sponsored with the Earlham College Artist and Lecture Series and the Civic Hall Associates.

From the Richmond Peaceful Response group: Friday, 26 January, 8:30-9:00 p.m. : Media-publicized rally to send off the Hoosier bus to D.C. for the March on Washington on the 27th (calling for an end to the U.S.A. war in Iraq). Please come pray, sing, cheer, and wave us off. If you are not going to DC, here is your chance to participate locally! A busload of Hoosiers will pick up four people from Richmond in the First Friends Meeting parking lot, 2010 Chester Boulevard (also Route 27). We expect the bus to arrive some time between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m. IF YOU WOULD LIKE A LETTER DELIVERED TO ELECTED OFFICIALS FOR YOU, bring it with you to this rally.

Public rally : NO MORE WAR IN IRAQ! This is the local action in support of the march on Washington. Where : Parking lot of First Friends Meeting, 2010 Chester Blvd. One of the Hoosier buses will arrive during the rally to pick up the Richmond folks traveling to DC. Songs, prayers, cheers, words of wisdom, candles, and/or silent solidarity are welcome and encouraged to send off the Hoosier travelers. PLEASE BRING : Written messages to congress for Hoosiers to deliver in Washington, D.C. during Lobby Day on Monday. This event is being publicized to the Richmond news media.

The 11th annual Rotary Quiz Bowl is scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Indiana University East's Vivian Auditorium, 2325 Chester Blvd., Richmond.

Funds raised from the event are donated to literacy projects. Three-member teams pay $100 to compete. They will answer questions about history, sports, music, and other subjects.

The event will include sessions on marketing, business plans, creating business relationships, using government programs, healthy eating, merchandising, using the web, and many other topics. Earlham College is sponsoring the Swingsation Benefit Concert tonight, a fund-raiser for the local United Way.

A jazz ensemble will provide the music for the 8 p.m. concert in the school's Runyon Center. The show will be preceded by a one-hour swing dance instruction program at 7 p.m.

Tickets, which are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens, are available in the Fine Arts Office.

Ivy Tech and the local NAACP Chapter will co-sponsor a banquet to be held at 6:00 p.m., on February 15, 2007 at the Townsend Community Center. The keynote speaker for the evening is Darrell Gordon, CEO Wernle Children's Home.

Beginning on February 20th, the Cope Environmental Center and the Purdue Cooperative Extension Service will offer the Indiana Master Naturalist Program. The program provides indoor and outdoor experiences to learn about Indiana's soil, geology, birds, forests, wildlfowers and more. Participants who attend at least seven of the eight classes and complete 24 hours of volunteer service will be certified and receive an Indiana Master Naturalist pin. Classes will be from 6-9 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Feb. 20 at the Cope Center education building. Registrations are being accepted and space is limited.

Connect, Create, Contribute, Celebrate! A Four-Day Intensive Leadership Workshop presented in Wayne County, Indiana, by the Institute for Creative Leadership.

A leaderful community is essential in the 21st century. Everyone must have the capacities to make the community work. This intensive workshop will help you understand what makes an effective community, discover your gifts and talents, and learn to create and work in performing teams, transforming challenges into possibilities.

Four consecutive Wednesdays: February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 2007 from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Participants must commit to all four sessions and complete a community project in order to graduate.

As part of Earlham College's partnership agreement with Recycle Force they have organized a Computer Recycling Event: Saturday, February 24th 9:00 am to 3:00 pm Carpenter Hall Parking Lot

They will accept desktop computers, laptops, monitors, printers, keyboards, computer peripherals, televisions, microwaves, and cell phones. There will be a $10.00 fee per vehicle to help support the event. They strongly encourage you to carpool with friends and family to save money and help reduce emissions.

Recycle Force, LLC is an Indianapolis based back-to-work program for ex-offenders that is dedicated to "Rebuilding Lives while Recycling Computers." More information on Recycle Force, including a great video about the program, can be found at: http://www.recycleindy.com/about.html
