“1:47,” a locally-produced film, will be shown at the Richmond Art Museum, using the state-of-the-art projection system in McGuire Hall. April 11, 12, 18, 19 and 26. Presenter Professor Pamela Samuelson teaches courses on intellectual property, cyberlaw and information policy. She has written and spoken extensively about the challenges that new information technologies pose for traditional legal regimes, especially for intellectual property law. She is a fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), a contributing editor of Communications of the ACM, and an honorary professor of the University of Amsterdam. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Electronic Frontier Foundation and of the Open Source Application Foundation, as well as a member of the Advisory Board for the Electronic Privacy Information Center. They will read and write poems, including those that are from the distributed notebooks. They will also have a booth for spontaneous writing. “A Night on the Town” A group of local high school students (Student Government Association) have taken on a huge project to serve their community. They will be hosting you, the community, for a night of dancing and entertainment. The Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra, a very well known and prestigious group, has been invited to Hagerstown Jr. Sr. High School to play the night away with Jazz, Swing, and Big Band classics.
