Richmond Art Museum’s new film screening series, fade-IN (Focusing on Art, Diversity, and Education - Indiana) will showcase a variety of films that fall outside the box of mainstream cinema and were most likely not shown in our area. The series will include independent, foreign, and experimental films, and even a scattering of older studio works that deserve another look. Opening dialogue by local filmmakers and film aficionados along with discussion following the films will offer a unique experience to film lovers. Screenings will be held the last Friday of each month, September through June.

The first screening is Friday, September 29 at 7PM in the auditorium at RAM
“Winner of a Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 1999, “American Movie” is an intimate portrait of Milwaukee's Mark Borchardt, his family, and his determination to make a feature film despite an overwhelming lack of money, resources, or apparent talent.” (The San Francisco Chronicle)
