Alternative Transportation Goals for Richmond Indiana

posted under

As a part of my work on the committees that are implementing the Comprehensive Plan that Richmond recently developed, I created a list (with some help from Mark) of some transportation goals that have a focus on alternative transportation (read: goals that don't celebrate car culture). Here's what I came up with, in no particular order:

Critical Mass Bike Ride

Sep 28 2007 - 6:00pm

Just a reminder that it's the end of the month and time for another Critical Mass ride around Richmond!

We'll meet at the Richmond Municipal Building, 50 North 5th Street, at 5 p.m. and leave around 5:15 for a southern loop that will bring us back uptown for refreshments courtesy of Jim and Vicki Hair of Richmond Art Works, 829 E. Main Street.

The proposed route is down South 5th Street to South L Street. From there we'll head east on L Street to South 23rd Street. Heading north on 23rd we'll head west on South B Street instead of going up to Main Street. South B will take us to 16th where we'll head up to Main and continue west until we get to Richmond Art Works. There may be modifications to this route at the discretion of the leader.
