In her post entitled Warming Trend, local blogger Jean Harper writes down some observations about global warming trends, and what that means for her life here in Richmond.

While I know it is time to make significant changes, I will admit to the frustration of living in a community where it is damn difficult to find organic food, locally grown pesticide free produce, free-range anything. How ironic. Here we are in the so-called “heartland” and what we have is a preponderance of pre-packaged goods from California, Mexico, Florida. If I want to live a so-called “green” lifestyle, it might require, in part, driving to a big city to get the green stuff. Right. A two hour trip to Whole Foods in Columbus, Ohio.
