The China Study: A compelling book on nutrition

I've just completed The China Study, a compelling book on nutrition. Rather than providing detailed eating advice and recipes of a particular diet, the book draws from hundreds of scientific references to come to some simple conclusions: A whole-foods, plant-based diet is very healthy, and can help to prevent and reserve a number of diseases including cancer, heart disease diabetes and number of auto-immune disorders.

Author Angelica Reyna at Readmore

According to a Pal-Item story: Hagerstown author to sign books Friday in Richmond - Readmore Etc.at 901 E. Main St. in Richmond will host a book signing from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday with Hagerstown author Angelica Reyna. Reyna recently finished a novel, "Last Ride on the Ferry," that is set in Los Ebanos, Texas. It is based on her life as a migrant worker and American of Mexican descent. The family in the book became migrant workers in the 1940s and encountered "adventure, hardships as well as amusing times." Reyna has lived in Wayne County for 43 years.  continue reading »
