The Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce debate begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Indiana University East's Vivian Auditorium in Whitewater Hall. The two-hour debate is open to the public and also airing live on Whitewater Community Television.

Chamber Spring Cleanup

The 2007 Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce Spring Clean-up will be happening on Saturday, April 21 (rescheduled from the original date of the 14th due to bad weather). A free breakfast will be served at the Chamber office (33 South 7th Street in Richmond) at 8 AM, and teams will depart at 9 AM with their assignments. The focus will be on the main corridors of the city - US 40 East & West, US 27 North & South and North & South A streets. For more information, call 765-962-1511 or visit www.rwchamber.org.

Chamber rewards community improvements

The Palladium-Item is reporting that the Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce has rewarded various local organizations for their contributions to and improvements in the community.

The Starr-Gennett Foundation and the City of Richmond shared the Community Spirit Award. Johnson Hall at Ivy Tech Community College and Richmond Furniture Gallery both received Exemplary Awards.

According to the article, U.S. Rep. Mike Pence attended the luncheon to congratulate the award winners.
