TO MIDWEST REGION FOR SERIES OF JULY CONCERTS
Indie Extreme Artist to Perform in Richmond, Ind., on July 26
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 2008) – R&B fusion recording artist Traci Root will return to the Midwest region for a series of July concerts, including an appearance in Richmond, Ind. on July 26. The artist is represented by the independent record label management firm Indie Extreme.
Root, who is pursuing a music career in Nashville, Tenn., will perform at Glen Miller Park at 7 p.m. July 26 (Saturday) as part of the Concert in the Park series. Admission is free. Glen Miller Park is located on East Main Street between Segarden Drive and North 30th Street. continue reading »
Ramallah Friends School Benefit Concert

Susan Stark and Friends Benefit concert for Ramallah Friends School featuring Quaker singer/songwriter Susan Stark and friends. Ramallah Friends School in Palestine’s West Bank offers international Quaker education to Muslim and Christian students, many of whom need scholarships. Net proceeds from this event benefit the Ramallah Friends School. Sponsored by Newlin Center for Quaker Thought and Practice.

Goddard Auditorium, Carpenter Hall Four time Grammy nominee Kidjo is not only one of the spunkiest, most electrifying performers in the pop world today, but she is also one of its most forward and creative thinkers, an artist whose mission has been to explore the relationships of diverse musical cultures. While her music is steeped in tribal and pop rhythms of her West African heritage, the Benin-born, Brooklyn-based Kidjo has crossed musical boundaries by blending a variety of styles, including funk, salsa, jazz, rumba, soul and makossa. Swingsation Benefit Concert

Earlham College is sponsoring the Swingsation Benefit Concert tonight, a fund-raiser for the local United Way.
A jazz ensemble will provide the music for the 8 p.m. concert in the school's Runyon Center. The show will be preceded by a one-hour swing dance instruction program at 7 p.m.
Tickets, which are $5 for adults and $3 for students and senior citizens, are available in the Fine Arts Office.
Genesis Benefit Concert

It is a concert in a theatre setting that echoes everything that made Pink Floyd one of rock & roll’s greatest icons. It is a celebration of the music, the themes and the innovation that this great bank brought to fans around the world.
