Middle Eastern Dinner and Conversation

* What claim do you have to the land where you live?
* If you were forced to leave, at what point would you lose your right to return?

Anna Lisa Gross recently returned from three weeks in Palestine, Israel and Jordan and wants to discuss questions like these on February 17 at 5pm. Carter Peace Lecture with John Paul Lederach

Presenter: John Paul Lederach Presenter: Dr. John Paul Lederach, Professor of International Peacebuilding, University of Notre Dame, Distinguished Scholar and founding director of Conflict Transformation Program, Eastern Mennonite University Lederach has done extensive work in conflict transformation around the globe and has written widely on conflict resolution and mediation. Sponsored by Carter Peace Lecture Fund, bringing noted scholars and speakers to speak on issues of peace and non-violent action.

CRC offers Restorative Practices training

The Conflict Resolution Center reeived a grant to offer two trainings - Family Group Conferencing and Family Group Decision Making. CRC would recommend the first of these for those interested in learning whether or how to incorporate Conferencing Circles. This training is offered at no cost (donations accepted). The trainings are as follows:

March 19-20 Family Group Conferencing - 8:30-4:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., lunch is provided.

March 21-22 Family Group Decision Making - 8:30-4:30 p.m.

Conflict Mediator Training Begins

The Conflict Resolution Center's Mediator Training course will be held on January 19-21 and February 2-4 at Earlham College's Landrum Bolling Center, Room 124. The course provides an intensive training experience for those who want to learn how to mediate conflict in their own lives, in their communities, and for the Conflict Resolution Center as a part of its case work in Wayne County. Search for Peace in the Middle East

Former Earlham College president Landrum Bolling has produce a film entitled Search for Peace in the Middle East, a "vivid, compassionate portrayal of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Through the voices of Israeli and Palestinian citizens of diverse backgrounds, it reveals their hopes and fears and explores the issues that divide them."
