Take Back the Night is an internationally-held march and vigil with the purpose of unifying women, men, and children in awareness of sexual violence and other forms of violence against women, children and families. It is about taking a stand against violence and making the night safe for everyone.
Please come and join us in front of the Richmond Municipal Building at 7:30 p.m. for opening speeches and the march. The event will close with a candlelight vigil.
Sponsored by Action Against Rape, an Earlham College student organization.

The Pal-Item notes today that Genesis of the YWCA officials are planning events to remember victims and raise awareness during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
A candlelight vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Richmond Municipal Building to remember those who have died and celebrate those who have endured. "It's really about remembering those that have lost their lives and those that have been victims of domestic violence and making a point to remember them," said Becky Studebaker, executive director of the YWCA.
