The Cope Environmental Center is pleased to once again participate in the Wayne County Alternative Gift Fair held on December 6th from 1-4pm at the New Reid Hospital in Richmond!

At the Fair, “shoppers” can purchase donations to area agencies in honor of loved ones in lieu of buying physical presents. The shopper will walk away with certificates wrapped elegantly in reusable boxes with beautiful ribbon. More importantly, they will walk away with a sense of satisfaction that they completed their holiday list while helping the community. This year, we are fortunate to have the support of the Wayne County Foundation, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Summersault, LLC. All three organizations will match a portion of the funds raised that day based on attendance, so don’t forget to stop by Reid Hospital on December 6th for this great community-based event! Enjoy a sustainable shopping experience while you relax to music, free chair massages, refreshments, and free childcare!

Join us at the NEW Reid Hospital Outpatient Care Ctr. (1100 Reid Parkway) on December 1st from 1-4pm for the 3rd Annual Alternative Gift Fair! The Clear Creek Food Cooperative is having its Annual Holiday Bazaar from 10 AM to 5 PM on Saturday December 8th, where you can hear live music, get some hot tea, and buy crafts and gifts from local artists, international fair trade items from A Greater Gift, and calendars and cards printed on recycled paper from Syracuse Cultural Workers. For three years now, the Co-op has held an bazaar which showcases local artistry and crafts, as well as international gifts, holiday cards, calendars and more. Saturday December 9th will be a lively festive day at the Co-op. As usual we will have items from Richmond folks and Earlhamites, fair trade items from SERRV International, gifts from Syracuse Cultural Workers AND new this year will be a selection of PUTUMAYO world music CDs and teeshirts from Zendik Arts, a West Virginia artist collective!
