The Newlin Center for Quaker Thought is sponsoring Melanie Weidner, a Quaker contemplative artist and spiritual director, at the Richmond Art Museum on April 10 as part of a week-long residency. Her project, The Passion of the Earth, is an exciting eco-spirituality project retelling the creation story and an invitation to re-understand the care for our earth through the art of fabric. The story has been created in seven fabric panels which will be on display. The event is free to the public and no tickets are required.
