Food dehydrating

Dehydrating workshop on January 31 at 10:30am in Hoerner Hall at Earlham College (non-Earlham students are welcome!). Learn to dry bananas, apples, potatoes, onions, and fruit leather from local farmer Dori Baxter. Contact Molly Fallon for more information: 616.836.3388 or mgfallon07@earlham.edu. More dehydrators are needed! Please contact Molly if you can loan yours for the day.

The Untouchable Times Speakeasy Gala

The Untouchable Times Speakeasy Gala is happening 6:30-11 p.m. this Saturday at Forest Hills Country Club. The gala will feature the West End Jazz Band from Chicago with 1920s dances performed in costume by the Flying Cloud Academy of Vintage Dance of Cincinnati. The event is a benefit for the Starr-Gennett Foundation, which seeks to promote and preserve the legacy of Gennett Records and its parent organization, the Starr Piano Company.  continue reading »
