Mediator Training begins

Mediator Training with the Conflict Resolution Center in Richmond will be taking place September 26, 27, 28 & October 10, 11, 12 at Indiana University East. Mediator Training focuses on communication skills and mediating family, neighborhood, workplace and a variety of other disputes. Participants also complete post-training role play mediations, and are then ready for mediating community conflicts with the guidance of a CRC Mentor Mediator. Master Gardener Training begins

A Master Gardener Training course will be offered beginning in January 2008. The Master Gardener course trains adults interested in gardening on horticulture topics to further their knowledge and encourage volunteerism upon completion of the course.

Tactical Direct Action Training

Earlham is holding a "Peace with Justice" week, sponsored by the PAGS Department and facilitated by Peace House. Tactical Direct Action Training presents information for learning to minimize injury and maximize effectiveness with the creative use of non-violent action. A training session is scheduled for this weekend as part of Peace With Justice Week. When: Sat., Oct. 6, 2 p.m. Where: Room 105 Landrum Bolling Center. CRC offers Restorative Practices training

The Conflict Resolution Center reeived a grant to offer two trainings - Family Group Conferencing and Family Group Decision Making. CRC would recommend the first of these for those interested in learning whether or how to incorporate Conferencing Circles. This training is offered at no cost (donations accepted). The trainings are as follows:

March 19-20 Family Group Conferencing - 8:30-4:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., lunch is provided.

March 21-22 Family Group Decision Making - 8:30-4:30 p.m.
