Friday, November 16th, 1:00 PM—5:00 PM in the City Building, Council Chambers. FREE for City/County Officials and Builders, the workshop will feature information about: Structurally Insulated Panels (SIPs), Insulated Concrete Forms (ICFs), Energy Efficiency products, Passive Solar Rooms, Using recycled & reused materials in the building process, and more. Green Building improves energy efficiency throughout the home, lessens waste to the landfill, and saves resources. Be the first to learn how you can "Build Green" on your block!

Connect, Create, Contribute, Celebrate! A Four-Day Intensive Leadership Workshop presented in Wayne County, Indiana, by the Institute for Creative Leadership.
A leaderful community is essential in the 21st century. Everyone must have the capacities to make the community work. This intensive workshop will help you understand what makes an effective community, discover your gifts and talents, and learn to create and work in performing teams, transforming challenges into possibilities.
Four consecutive Wednesdays: February 21, 28, March 7, 14, 2007 from 5:30 - 9:30 p.m. Participants must commit to all four sessions and complete a community project in order to graduate.

CRC offers Restorative Practices training

The Conflict Resolution Center reeived a grant to offer two trainings - Family Group Conferencing and Family Group Decision Making. CRC would recommend the first of these for those interested in learning whether or how to incorporate Conferencing Circles. This training is offered at no cost (donations accepted). The trainings are as follows:
March 19-20 Family Group Conferencing - 8:30-4:30 p.m.
Registration begins at 8 a.m., lunch is provided.
March 21-22 Family Group Decision Making - 8:30-4:30 p.m.

Conflict Mediator Training Begins

The Conflict Resolution Center's Mediator Training course will be held on January 19-21 and February 2-4 at Earlham College's Landrum Bolling Center, Room 124. The course provides an intensive training experience for those who want to learn how to mediate conflict in their own lives, in their communities, and for the Conflict Resolution Center as a part of its case work in Wayne County.
